Vlado Spasov joined DWS with 22 years of experience and is based in London. Before Vlado was a senior member of The Blackstone Group’s Strategic Opportunity Fund which he joined in 2018 to establish the London office and was responsible for sourcing and managing various special situation investments. Prior to that, he was part of Ares Management’s Special Situations / Special Opportunities team. Earlier in his career, Vlado worked in London and New York for Fortress Investment Group’s Credit division and Citi starting in Leveraged Finance and finishing in the Institutional Recovery Management unit. Vlado graduated from the American University in Bulgaria with a B.A. in Business Administration in 2002 and holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a dual major in Finance and Strategy in 2007.
